There is something so delightful about a bowl of ice cream. Except, when you are lactose intolerance. This clean ice cream recipe is delicious and lactose free!
Start with unsweetened coconut milk. The above are two I have tried for this recipe and work well.
In a sauce pan brew two cans of unsweetened coconut milk, 2 star anise, 15 cloves, 15 all spice berries, 20 white peppercorns, 10 cardamon pods, 3 bags black tea bags, 2 tablespoons of honey. Brew about 30 minutes until golden brown.
Strain out the seeds and spices.
This is the most important step! Listen closely. Add 4 egg yolks to the ice cream mixture ONE spoonful at a time. If you add more you will make scrambled eggs. Patience!
Allow mixture to cool, then use your ice cream mixture as the instructions state.
